Registered Manager

The Registered Manager has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, safeguarding, quality of care, and compliance of the residential children’s home. They lead the staff team, ensure children and young people receive safe and therapeutic care, manage staffing and resources, and work closely with Ofsted, social workers, families, and other professionals.

Key focus: Overall leadership, safeguarding, compliance, quality of care, and outcomes for young people.

The Deputy Manager supports the Registered Manager in overseeing the home and takes on management responsibilities in their absence. They help lead the staff team, monitor care standards, support staff development, contribute to care planning, and ensure policies, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed.

Key focus: Supporting management, staff leadership, safeguarding, and maintaining high standards of care.

The Team Leader provides hands-on leadership to the residential care team during their shift. They coordinate staff, make sure daily routines and care plans are followed, support staff with challenging situations, and help ensure the home remains safe, structured, and nurturing for young people.

Key focus: Shift leadership, staff coordination, daily routines, and consistent care.

The Senior Residential Care Worker is an experienced member of the care team who provides direct support to children and young people while taking on additional responsibilities. They may mentor newer staff, contribute to care planning and risk assessments, support key-working activities, and help maintain a positive and therapeutic environment.

Key focus: Direct care, mentoring staff, key-working, and supporting positive outcomes.

The Residential Care Worker provides day-to-day care and support to children and young people living in the home. They build trusting relationships, support emotional wellbeing, education, activities, personal development, and daily routines while maintaining safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Key focus: Direct care, relationship-building, emotional support, and helping young people develop independence.

Are You the Right Fit?

Experience in residential care, youth work, or a related field (desirable — not always essential)

Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
